tramadol for Pain: I have been on Tramadol for 1 week. I had a hysterectomy on 8/20/2008 and my doctor was concerned about pain management. I am allergic to anti-inflammatories: advil, naprosyn. This medicine is a life saver! I take 1-50mg tablet every 4-6 hours. I haven’t had any serious side effects. A little sleepy at times, but that’s it. I have an uncle who is on vicodin for pain management and I am going to tell him about this.

tramadol for Restless Legs Syndrome: I have been taking tramadol for about 3 years for restless leg syndrome. My doctor tried several other drugs for this and all they did was enhance the problem. Took my first two tramadol and had the best nights sleep I have had in years.

tramadol for Pain: I started taking 2 X 50 mg four times a day but I only take about 4-6 now. I have been on Vicoden 10/325 12 x a day for the past 3 years and believe it or not this has replaced the Vicodens for the moment. I stopped taking Vicoden yesterday and have no withdrawal or as bad a pain as I thought.

tramadol for Pain: I have been using tramadol for 7 years for chronic regional pain syndrome. It works really well and I don’t get any side effects except occasional itching. I take 2, 50mg tabs 4 times a day. This is the difference between living a normal life and total debilitation for me.

Ultram (tramadol) for Pain: I was prescribed Tramadol after a herniated disc in my lower back and 50mg gives me great pain relief for about 6 hours. If the pain is really bad then 100mg works wonders as well. I have not experienced any negative side effects. This medicine also puts me in a GREAT mood and helps with some symptoms of depression which makes it much easier to get through the day. I would recommend Tramadol to anyone experiencing pain.

tramadol for Pain: I got put on tramadol today for pain in my back after falling on the ice and hitting the cement stairs in front of my house. About ten minutes after I took it my back felt a lot better. I was not sleepy and I am able to function and get things done while taking this medication. It helps tremendously and I strongly recommend it to anyone who has to take care of children. This works because you don’t feel “out of it”.

tramadol for Pain: I have been on so many muscle relaxers and pain control medications while waiting for hip replacements that it was unbelievable. About four years ago my Doctors (Air Force Type) put me on a steady regimen of tramadol 50mg tabs up to 300mg per day dependent on pain and I have been able to completely manage my pain and even walk in short bursts (Sometimes with a cane but that’s still walking in my condition) it is an amazing revelation.

tramadol for Restless Legs Syndrome: Since starting Tramadol 2 years ago (300 mg daily), I’ve been symptom free from restless leg syndrome with no side effects. Prior to Tramadol, I experience acute pain in legs when inactive during the evenings. A sleep study also revealed moderate leg twitching during sleep which interfered with REM. I was prescribed Requip 4mg but had a couple of very bad reactions (sudden onset of acute sweating and nausea). I also take Tramadol for mild chronic back pain. Breakthrough pain can occur due to the relatively low strength of Tramadol compared to other prescription pain relievers. However, it’s more accessible due to it being a non-narcotic, non-scheduled drug.

Ultram ER (tramadol) for Pain: I have adhesions related to multiple abdominal surgeries and some nerve damage as well. I was on Vicodin for 6 months and was referred to a pain clinic. Being a nurse I had seen Ultram used in the hospital with good pain control. I suggested I try it and stop the Vicodin. It was an incredibly easy transition and the benefits were immediate. I too have noticed a definite mood stabilizing. I was having mood swings on the Vicodin that were affecting my relationships with others. I feel calmer and my pain is nearly gone at 200mg daily. I am so thankful for having relief. I think it’s a wonderful drug.

tramadol for Restless Legs Syndrome: I have had restless leg syndrome for years. Unfortunately it is genetic, and it has been passed on to my daughter. I have tried many things and nothing works like tramadol. At this point in time, I only need 75 mg each night. I sleep all night. It has literally saved my life in terms of quality. I know the doctors don’t always like prescribing it but if they had RLS, they would know how horrible it is. I would rather take this and feel great than worry about it being habit forming and feel awful. What if it is habit forming, I need it every night or I do not sleep. I take high blood pressure medicines daily and for the rest of my life so why not tramadol. I monitor my use and do all I can to remain healthy. And I have no side effects.

tramadol for Pain: I have been using tramadol for three months. I herniated two discs two years ago. I have found tramadol very effective and I do not suffer from any of the side effects. I take 300mg per day. It is a brilliant pain relief and is serving me well. I reduced my dose when the pain I experienced between doses eased and I didn’t have any side effects. I am also taking fluoxetine and gabapentin (as a pain relief). It works well for me.

Within 45 minutes my pain dropped from a 8/10 to 3/10. After a couple of days my pain was 1/10. The only side effect I experienced was slight dry mouth. It works great!!

tramadol for Pain: I was on 7.5/500 Hydrocodone 6-8 x daily for 2 years, for knee and lower back pain. I stopped and quit taking Vicodin because I was just taking it for the good feeling and yet, it was doing nothing for my pain. Vicodin only helped me cope with the pain. After I quit I told my doctor and he put me on tgramadol 50mg 8 times daily (400mg of ultram/daily), and for being a non-narcotic synthetic pain medication I have to give this a 10. I have been on tramadol for over a year now and it works better on my pain, than any opiate pain killer does. Tramadol does not give you that high feeling, but it a great alternative to opiate narcotic pain killers. I do have pain, but a lot less now then when I was on opiate pain killers.

tramadol for Pain: I’ve been using Ultram/Tramadol for the past 15 years for lower back pain. Without a doubt they are a life saver for me I’ve tried several different pain relievers… Vicoden, Percocet, OTC and termal patches and they don’t provide the relief that Ultram does. The side effects I’ve noticed is sweating and sometimes decline in appetite… But the benefits outweigh these minor effects. With that said I must also say that if I have some other sort of pain in different parts of my body I can’t honestly say they help.

tramadol: I take three tramadol per day: 1 with brunch at 8am; 1 with a snack at 2pm; 1with a light snack at 8pm. This schedule keeps me pretty much pain-free all day. Cons to using this medicine: I am hypoglycemic, so I can’t take Tylenol for any type of pain. Also, tramadol doesn’t help with any kind of headache, so to treat headaches, I use Advil. If I use Tylenol with tramadol, I have a hypo attack with much sweating and dizziness. But I like this medicine, because it keeps my fibromyalgia pain manageable and I suffer no additional side effects.

Ultram (tramadol): Tramadol saved my life. Fibromyalgia had just about taken my life away. I was constantly in pain, tired, and often in a mental fog. It was causing major problems in my marriage, because the pain, fatigue, and fog made me a horrible husband and father. I wasn’t doing my part around the house because of the pain, fatigue, and lack of cognitive clarity. My wife was resentful, and rightfully so. I finally ended up in a Doctor’s office in tears – I told him I was “crazy”. He said I was not crazy, I was ill. He prescribed tramadol and Cymbalta. My life has completely changed: no pain, no fatigue, and no fog. My life and marriage are restored, and we are happier than ever. Daily, I thank God for a good, knowledgeable doctor, Cymbalta and Tramadol.

Ultram (tramadol): I started taking Tramadol for undiagnosed knee pain about ten years ago. It was a miracle. I was actually able to walk for most of the day without pain. I finally had knee surgery, so I only had to take it a couple times a week. Then, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 5 years ago and had brain surgery, which I have had many bad effects from. The tramadol and also Percocet get me through my days. I want to kiss whoever created the tramadol.

tramadol: I started having symptoms of degenerative disc disease at age 19 – and was told I would have to learn to live with the pain; since then it has become worse and I now have other areas of my back affected, my hips and knees – and an injury to my ankle that will not heal due to the fibromyalgia, and I keep re-injuring it (they will not operate). In addition I have arthritis and bone spurs in various places. Tramadol is one of the first medications to help with my chronic back pain.. but it gave me the most intense headaches.

tramadol: Let me break it down really simply, Tramadol is an excellent pain reliever but is addictive! DO NOT take this medication through pregnancy. Wean off of it before you give birth and let your baby withdraw in utero. My son was in withdrawal for 10 weeks and I never told the Doctor I took the drug, so no one knew what was wrong with him. He didn’t sleep, trembled, and cried for 8-10 weeks straight. He has no developmental delay or physical impairments, but the first 2 1/2 months of his life were brutal. Wean off, please!

tramadol: I have fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. While waiting to find a medicine to work on the RA, I have been in severe pain in every joint and every muscle in my body. My doctor prescribed Tramadol to be taken with 1000 mg of Tylenol every 4-6 hours. (I didn’t see many posts that mentioned the Tylenol). It has been a miracle for me. I’m mostly pain free but very fatigued, which could be from the diseases and not the medicine. I have a headache upon waking but it goes away as soon as I’m up and about. Getting going in the morning is the worst part, but the medicines are helping.

tramadol: I have fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid arthritis, and have had two back surgeries, the second one 22 years ago. Tramadol did not reduce my neck, shoulder, or lower back pain noticeably. I hadn’t recognized that my increased symptoms of nausea, headaches, lethargy, irritable bowels, or poor sleep might be related to the drug. I took myself off Tramadol (no warnings from my doctor about side effects taking Ultram or going off Ultram) and felt worse. More nausea, pain, irritable bowels, headaches turning into migraines. Desperate, I changed my diet. Low carbs, lots of green veggies, high protein, healthy fats, small amounts of whole grain rices. Pain is still there, but I feel more in control. I still take Voltaren and Flexeril.

Ultram (tramadol): Hi, I just thought that I’d add this comment for you. I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, hepatitis, and lupus. But before my diagnoses, with no insurance, I went to the hospital when I couldn’t take the pain anymore and was prescribed Ultram 50mg 2x a day. At first I took 1 and then another and so on until I reached six in a 4 hour period. When it finally started working it hit me like a ton of bricks. Needless to say I was pain free. So my advise is start with 2 and wait, it just not an instant relief like codeine. Unfortunately your body does become immune to its effects within abut 3 months. Now I am taking 4 roxicodone a day and also adjusting to that quickly too. Good luck to all of you.

tramadol: I have had fibromyalgia for about 10 years and Ultram really helped for the first 5 years. After that the effect started to decrease until they had to change me to something else because it is not a long term drug. I loved it because you could take it and there were no feelings of sluggishness. It just took the pain away. I wish I could still take it with the same relief as when I first started.

Ultram (tramadol): Over 20 years ago, I was diagnosed with myofacial pain syndrome. This was before fibromyalgia had a name. I tried everything with no relief. In the 90′s, I ruptured a disc and the doctor prescribed Ultram. It not only gave relief for the disc problem, but felt like a miracle drug for fibromyalgia. I have allergies to most medications, but amazingly, I could take Ultram. Without this medication, I would not have a life. I have never suffered from any side effects. I take three tablets daily. I do not take any other medications for fibromyalgia. The only other medicine I take is for under active thyroid.

Ultram (tramadol): Ultram was helpful for my muscle pain associated with the fibromyalgia. It did not make me feel ‘dopey’ or ‘high’ or more tired, etc. However, I would have to eat a substantial meal before taking it and then eat an apple or something after I took it or I feel on the verge on vomiting. It made me so nauseated if my stomach was not completely full.

Ultram (tramadol): I was taking Ultram ER 100 mg once a day along with Lyrica with no real relief. My doctor upped my Ultram to 200 mg once a day and I feel much better. I can’t believe the difference the dosage makes. Off course, being time release it does take a while to kick in, but I found I can work a longer day sometimes.

Ultram (tramadol): I have been using Ultram (tramadol) for over 8 years for my fibromyalgia pain. I started on it for a shoulder and neck injury, and it worked so great, I have been able to stay on it. In those 8 years I have actually lowered my dose by less than half, and get through a day on 75 mg. It keeps me working. I can not take it late in the day or it keeps me from sleeping well. If you are in pain, moderate to BAD days, I suggest you try it in moderate levels. It will not help for headaches for me. Stopping to take it will produce withdrawal symptoms after a time. Be prepared to go through a miserable, cranky day. Good luck, and feel well.

tramadol: Tramadol taken as prescribed has given me my life back. It is not a cure all but where I am at now is far better than where I was last year.

Ultram ER (tramadol): I have had Fibromyalia for years and have been prescribed many different pain medicines. I have also been seeking less pharmaceutical ways of dealing with my pain. One doctor prescribed tryptophan to me and I thought it was great and have had to use less pain medicines because of it, however I did not know that it was classified as an SSRI so when my new doctor prescribed tramadol to me and bumped me right up to the highest dose and I took it with my tryptophan I got really really sick. It took me a few days to figure out what was going on but I was having a major drug interaction called serotonin syndrome. Be careful. Yes, this drug works wonders on pain but can be dangerous with many other drugs.

Ultram (tramadol): This medicine was useful at first then your body adjusts and you need more to make it work. Well they gave me more and I was also taking Prozac for anxiety, and Trazadone to help with sleeping. Turns this combination of antidepressantss and Tramadol can cause serious drug interactions, so if you feel that something is just not right speak to your doctor as I did. It saved my life.

Ultram (tramadol): This is definitely my miracle drug. It allows me to continue working and even seems to have a slight mood elevator. I have suffered from fibromyalgia for years and the only other pain relievers I have found to help also made me drowsy and unable to function mentally. The only thing I notice from tramadol is relief. I have a sister with fibromyalgia and it doesn’t help her in the least so you just have to try it and see.

Ultram (tramadol): I have been taking ultram for 5 years now. I take it to help with the chronic pain caused by fibromyalgia. It is the only drug that I have taken that allows me to perform tasks without experiencing extremely intrusive pain. I am 27 years old and without this medication I do not believe I could have reached the goals that I have today.

Ultram (tramadol): This drug is great, however the first two weeks I had trouble staying awake in the morning and at night. I also had trouble waking up in the morning the first week. Once that was over though, I felt like my old self.

Ultram ER (tramadol): I must say that Ultram ER has worked better for my pain then any other Fibromyalgia FDA approved drug that I’ve tried.

Ultram (tramadol): I have been in pain for more than 18 years and used to live on Ibuprofen when I wasn’t diagnosed. Finally 2 years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and prescribed Tramadol (Ultram). It was wonderful. I could move so much better than ever before. My pain seemed to be controlled. However, I quickly realised that the medication only lasted for 4 hours every time. Then the pain would creep back stronger than before.

Ultram (tramadol): Good relief if taken exactly as prescribed and only when needed.
